Bonny Doon Estate

This mid-century modern house originally designed by Kitchen and Hunt Architects in the mid-1950’s consisted of a main and guest structure separated by a breezeway. We combined the two to create a truly unique home overlooking the Monterrey Bay. Additionally, two separate guest houses on the property were in serious need of updating, so a full gut and remodel was done to each. And finally, we completely resurrected and restored a large post and beam barn that was in a serious state of disrepair.

Midtown Accessory Dwelling Unit

We fully gutted an existing garage and converted it into a one-bedroom unit with a bonus sleeping loft. By creating good flow, small efficient space can be as functional as larger homes. The kitchen is tucked out of the way behind the ladder wall which gives easy access to a large, comfortable sleeping loft. Around the corner is the bed nook with adjacent bath.

Luxury Mid-Century Modern Remodel

Designed by Ana Williamson Architect, this was a remodel of the kitchen, living room, two offices, the den and powder room. Henrybuilt cabinetry anchors this open kitchen design with hand-made and individually set, custom Italian tiles used for the backsplash wall stand as a bold accent to the honed Calacatta marble tops. The horizontal lines of the contemporary blued steel fireplace carry through to and complement the square lines of the hood.

Westside Kitchen

Converting the garage into a second kitchen in this residence created a fully-functional ADU for the client. A nine-foot butcher block peninsula and custom mitered quartz countertops create all the space a chef could want in this light and airy room.

Grandview Kitchen

The original layout included a pantry in the middle of the room with a galley kitchen hidden from sight. Removing the wall/pantry opened up the space and Integrated living and meal prep into a casual, comfortable room. The addition of a skylight added much-needed natural light to the area.

West Zayante Remodel

This was a multi-phase project. We started with the kitchen/dining/living rooms and entry. In the final phase, we took the two small upstairs bedrooms with a half-bath squeezed between and converted them to a master suite with walk-in closet and large comfortable bath.

Contemporary Country Craftsman

Technically a remodel with 490 square foot addition, we essentially rebuilt this home from the ground up. The vaulted, exposed truss main living space gives it an open feel while the granite fireplace anchors the room. Three bedrooms plus loft/two baths with built-in cabinetry throughout. The details were what made this project so enjoyable.
